Call for Entries:  Artists' Opportunities to exhibit in the WEST

Click on link to follow other opportunities, not from the BAA, to competitions to enter your art.

An artist expands their art Portfolio by listing where you have exhibited your art and what awards you have received for your art. These things are great to list in a biography and a great marketing tool for self promotion. Remember to follow the entry instructions to the very letter, or you could be disqualified. You will find all the details to submitting you work by clicking on “Prospectus” on any of the postings.

If you win or are exhibited anywhere please let us know!!!

Good luck!

 BAA 2018 CALENDAR SHOW

(by Kathy Schilling, Fundraising Chairperson)

During September, the BAA Art Center’s Featured Artist Wall will be covered with the artworks selected for the BAA’s 2018 Calendar. This year’s calendar  contains  excellent images on the theme “Kern County at its Best” by BAA members.

The calendar committee selected the following fifteen images needed for this fourteen month calendar by the following artists: Rhonda Martin, Randall Bergquist, Jim Bates, Laurie Dodge Paci, Shirley Rowles, Karen King, Patti Doolittle, Coral Poole-Clark, Marsha Black, Floyd Dillon, Charlotte White, Martin Varga, Kathy Schilling, Laura Valenzuela and Iva Fendrick.

The selling of the BAA calendar is an annual fundraising event for the Association, and BAA members who entered their artwork for inclusion in the calendar are greatly appreciated as activities such as this help to meet BAA goals.
