Plein Air Trek

The group is planning the following plein air opportunities:

Sept 9th: Jastro Park

Sept 16th: Jastro Park

October 14th: Murray Farms

October 21st: Majestic Palms Nursery

October 28th: Majestic Palms Nursery

November 11th and 18th: locations to be announced.

The group will be gathering to paint at these locations at 9am. Critique and brown bag lunch will be at 11:30am. Anyone seeking information should contact Beth Carstens, 809-3954

Plein Air at the Fair

On Saturday, Sept 24th, there will be a plein air painting event at the Kern County Fair. Artisits do not need to sign up in advance to participate. Participants need to pay the $5 entry fee, then have your canvas or paper stamped and fill out the entry form (provided here) in the Fine Art Building by 10am.

All entries must be turned in at 5pm for critique, followed bya presentation by the judge at 6pm.

Please wire oil paintings so they can be hung on a peg board panel. No frames. Bring backing for WC papers. Artists seeking information should contact Joyce Ogborn, 758-6122 or golfnogs2@bak.rr.com
